Rehabilitation Services
Sebo's rehabilitative emphasis is on comprehensive therapy
and professional care. Our rehabilitation services are
provided daily for residents experiencing the
disabling or debilitating effects of illness or injury.
With physician orders, each resident is evaluated upon
admission by our licensed team of physical, occupational,
speech or respiratory therapists. Our rehabilitation
staff creates an individualized program of care which
addresses the specialized therapeutic needs of each
resident. We develop a personalized rehabilitative treatment
program where goals are documented, and progress is
consistently monitored. Our Therapy Department is truly
concerned with every aspect of our residents' physical
health and recovery.
Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapist focuses on our residents regaining strength and balance, achieving optimal mobility skills, improving range of motion, relieving pain, promoting wound care management, wheelchair manipulation and other functional activities.
Speech/Language Therapy
Our Speech/Language Pathologist addresses all areas of communication, cognitive impairments and swallowing disorders. Treatment can improve the ability to express words and thoughts, follow directions, read, write and gesture.
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapist maximizes our residents' independence in performing activities of daily living (ADUS) which include: eating, dressing and bathing. Focus is also placed on improving hand and arm function and upper body strength. These skills enable residents to complete life tasks at their highest functional level.
Respiratory Therapy
Our Respiratory staff provides monitoring and weaning of oxygen, restoring optional breathing function, tracheostomy care, aerosolized medication and strengthening of respiratory muscles.
All disciplines of rehabilitation therapy have a common goal: to help residents achieve maximum independence and return home. |
